The moment no woman should have to face.
Sophie’s relationship had ended after years of violence, and the place that should have offered safety no longer could. Then came the decision no woman should ever have to make: stay in a place that felt unsafe, or leave without knowing where she would go.
Like many women facing homelessness across South Australia, Sophie was not just leaving a relationship. She was leaving behind the stability, safety and certainty of home, with no clear path ahead.

When Sophie reached out for help, Catherine House was there. She had somewhere safe to go, and people ready to walk beside her as she began to rebuild.
